In response to the the needs of the community, we have transitioned most of our exclusive programming to be delivered virtually.

Changemaker Summit

Students are frustrated with the status-quo after the socio-political unrest in our country in 2020.
We believe that they are our today and future, and in order to feel empowered they need the skills and the support of their allys.

The MNMS Virtual School Program, Changemaker Summit, is designed with the belief that students can create powerful change on their school campuses and communities. These Student Changemakers transform school culture and go beyond empathizing and connecting to taking action, collaborating, and co-creating.

Summit Details:
Engages the Student and Educators on a school campus in three powerful sessions:
#1 The Pre-Summit Educator Workshop: Preparing the Educator with tools to support the student Changemaker.
#2 The Summit: Inspiring and empowering the Changemaker Student through three workshops of Awareness, Understanding and Action.
#3 The Post Summit Follow-Up Workshop: Supporting educators and students on the design process with student initiatives on campus

Changemaking Curriculum

Virtually accessible, impactful, and tangible activities and lessons designed for educators to walk students through the process of becoming a Changemaker. The space offers curated and exclusive content on the pertinent topics of:
Empathy, Diversity & Inclusion, Black Lives Matter, Mental Wellness, Leadership and much more...

Changemaker Day
The My Name My Story team comes to your school to present a one-day workshop that empowers your students with the skills of a changemaker. Students participate in activities that explore their passion and purpose, and connect it to taking action. They learn not only how to inspire empathy through storytelling, but how to use empathy and their unique talents to drive change on your school campus.

Resource Guide and Program Advisor
After a Changemaker Day you will receive a resource guide filled with valuable activities and lesson plans. You will also be appointed a Program Advisor to answer questions and offer guidance as you work with the changemakers at your school.
