Why encourage a MNMS School Club in your school?
For Students & Teachers:

Tolerance & Empathy: two words that most schools are looking to engender in their student body.  Schools that have introduced programs to inspire these characteristics have been able instill values like:

• Unity
• Tolerance
• Acceptance
• Self Respect
• Team Spirit

We also know that when “teens talk to teens” they believe more, accept more, try more and do more.

The purpose of a My Name My Story School Club: 
The purpose of a My Name My Story (MNMS) School Club is to create a student run Social Leadership Organization that involves students, faculty and the community in the spirit of“inspiring the next generation of leaders” and all actions of the club, as such, must be aligned with the philosophy of “Hope – Believe – Succeed –Inspire.”  

The goal is simple and clear: to increase Unity, Tolerance and Empathy in the student body and community, while developing leadership skills.

In order to accomplish this, MNMS@YourSchool shall host:

MNMS Activities: These suggested activities create Emotional Impact, Tangible Impact, Teambuilding Group Projects, and "Random Acts of Kindness."

The MNMS Live Event:  One of the main annual events of the club.  MNMS@YourSchool shall participate in the organization of a local MNMS Live! Event with MNMS.  This live event is organized by MNMS and is designed to showcase fellow students and local “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”  In order to accomplish this live event, MNMS exposes the club members to different aspects of putting together an event: from planning, stage handling, performing, speaking, marketing, audio visual and an endless array of things that go into putting together a Live Event.

MNMS Drives: The club will coordinate with MNMS to participate in various MNMS Drives.  One of the most recognized MNMS events is the MNMS Book Drive, where thousands of books have been collected and donated by MNMS School Clubs to local Children’s Hospital and underpriveledged schools.  The goal is to make a significant tangible impact in our local community by being a huge part of these drives.

Regular MNMS@YourSchool Meetings:  The club will meet regularly.  These meetings will also occasionally give the club members the opportunity to interact with other MNMS Leaders from the local MNMS community.

So, a MNMS School Club allows students to be involved in a unique club that has a tangible impact in society.

• The Stories in our Website: Allows the student to get exposed to issues faced by their peers and their stories of overcoming.  This develops empathy and tolerance within the student body.
• MNMS Activities: Are designed to instill the key values of unity, tolerance and empathy.  
• The MNMS Book Drives: Allows the students to be involved in something that creates a tangible impact in their community.
• As a MNMS Leader: the students enhance and develop leadership skills, public speaking skills and teamwork.
• As a MNMS Writer: Develops critical writing skills.
• The MNMS Live! Events: Gives the students an opportunity to “soar with their strengths.”
• The MNMS Scholarship: Provides the ability for students to earn scholarships.

In addition to the the tremendous impact on the Students the School Managment is able to:

• Develop Unity, Tolerance and Empathy in the School.
• Increase student involvement.
• Increase community exposure.
• Showcase the school's most valued asset: The Students.
• Expose the School to the entire MNMS Community and our Strategic Partners in education.
